Welcome to GrownUp Cookies!

Like any food, cookies connect us to both our relationships and our culture. Sure, there are many great-tasting desserts available to thrill your taste buds. Cookies, however, warm your heart as well.

Across generations, cookies have cheered us up. Cookies accompanied us, and our friends, after school. We sold them to support our clubs. The smell of baking cookies, the strategic act of sneaking a bite of cookie dough, your own personal technique for the milk dunk, and familiar, favorite tastes are some of our early memories of food.

GrownUp Cookies advocates for a flavorful union of food and cookies and for continuing great relationships. Let’s sit down together in conversation and eat a cookie or two. Friends, families, and acquaintances, we share our lives in person differently than we do online or by text. That said; remember that cookies can be eaten any time, day or night, that you desire.

Kelly Cooper – I teach Digital Media at West Valley College, a California Community College. Away from the classroom I bake and cook. I also like to hike which, in turn, allows me to eat more of what I bake and cook.

I like to hear from readers, feel free to comment or send an email to Kelly@GrownUpCookies.com.

Regarding the recipes… at the bottom of each you’ll see a note:
Note from Kelly-If you want to distribute this cookie recipe, please note that it is a GrownUp Cookie and its website address. I bake when I’m not at work teaching and am happy to share. I ask, in return, that you recognize and recommend this site or its recipes.

GrownUp Cookies cookbook will be published by Red Rock press in 2012 and I’m making a few baking products as well.

And… if you have a favorite food, send it to me and we can fool around with creating a recipe for it!
